“Today we’ve moved along the track..” (I wink)..
“I tried to do some drawings when folk worked,
and tricked some kids to listen up & think.
But sometimes they did act out - quite berserk.”
And this is not a problem in itself,
it’s more the consequences for the group.
How can a child who asks for special help
be given it when others then throw food,
or paper sheets, scrunched up into tight balls.
The kids who come from backgrounds that grow guts,
persistence, perseverance, through the falls
of life, and bleeding from the paper cuts
of bureaucratic systems, or the want
of cats that might appear just stretching legs
with claws extended, yawning, nonchalant-
ly, doing what might hurt or harm which begs
to differ just because it then feels best.
It’s jealous and it doesn’t like to lose. …
