Genuine Peace (Godliness with Contentment)

Then Jesus said "I'm leaving you "gifted",
my peace of mind and heart, I give to you.
My peace, I know, can't be counterfeited
by this world-system (built on "get" - 'sthat true?).

And it can't give the kind of life, and love,
abundance, & the thriving, that is "peace",
not in the middle of a life that's cov-
-ered in an occupation - forced "release".

So do not let your hearts become troubled,
and do not let your fear of loss a-fray
the life-line of your trust in me, coupled
with love - responding to me every day.

Recall the Psalms, and model prayers their way:
"We thank you Lord, that you're so merciful
(of course we have to pick the ones to say)
you answered prayers (concerned that our purse is full,
so riches won't be gone that coming day).

So also, Father, you help us grow up!
- to be like you, the one & only, true
true God is love - volcano that's erupt-
ing, & what's not destroyed, will be our due.

Lord thank you that you are full of mercy and you do answer our prayers. Psalm 27:7 (PM Version)

‘Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

For no-one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved – even though only as one escaping through the flames.
